The adaptive rehabilitation/renovation of the 250,000sf former FFV Interbake bakery building in Richmond, Virginia represents a landmark endeavor that kicks off the redevelopment of the Boulevard Area north of Richmond known as “Scott’s Addition.” Branch & Associates is under contract to Interbake Partners, LLC, which includes the major Richmond-based commercial developer, Rebkee, who is the principal partner of the ownership group. The historic tax credit project will convert the existing bakery building into 178 high-end residential apartments. Amenities will include a community center, pool, and fitness room, as well as underground parking and surface parking for tenants. Branch & Associates developed a fast-track, 16 month single-phase plan that incorporates our “batching” work sequencing concept.
