The Inn and Conference Center became the face of Virginia Tech to the nation and world as the center of press activities after the April 16th shootings.  The complex is actually three projects: The Holtzman Alumni Center, the Inn at Virginia Tech and the Skelton Conference Center.  The Holtzman Alumni Center is the home of the Virginia Tech alumni association and also the Virginia Tech alumni museum.  The majority of the money needed to construct the center was raised by alumni donations.  The Inn at Virginia Tech is a full service hotel with 147 rooms and suites, indoor and outdoor dining, demonstration kitchen, lab space and classrooms for students enrolled in the Hotel and Hospitality Management program.  The Inn joins the Skelton Conference Center, a facility that can accommodate conferences of any size up to 5,000.
