Unquestionably the most recognized landmark on the Virginia Tech campus, Torgersen Hall with its adjoining arched pedestrian bridge spanning Alumni Mall, is a 150,000 square foot engineering classroom, lecture and research lab building.  The building also includes the Board of Visitors boardroom.  Named for former University President and Engineering Professor Paul Torgersen, the building reflects the universities roots as a preeminent engineering university.
