Designed as the first LEED Gold jail facility on the east coast, the new Rockingham Judicial Center is the combined courts, detention and law enforcement facility for Rockingham County North Carolina.  The Court House section of the center is 98,000 square feet, the Detention section is 52,500 square feet with 222 beds and the Law Enforcement Center is 21,000 square feet.
